Billerica Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Billerica – On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at approximately 7:15 pm, Billerica Police responded to a 911 call reporting a pedestrian having been struck while crossing the street in the area of #785 Boston Road. Upon arrival, officers observed as the Billerica Fire Department was attending to a single male victim lying in the roadway suffering from obvious impact injuries consistent with having been struck by a motor vehicle. A short distance from the pedestrian, officers also observed a 2015 Acura RDX pulled off to the side of the roadway. Child Airlifted To Hospital After Falling Into Fire Pit

Billerica – Billerica Police, EMS and Fire Departments responded after a young child accidentally tripped and fell into a fire pit on Saturday, September 3rd. Around 6 p.m., police received a call that a 2 1/2 year-old girl tripped while attending a birthday party on Bridle Road, landing in an active fire pit in the yard. The child was quickly removed and placed into water to mitigate any burn injuries. Billerica Paramedics responded and the decision was made, out of an abundance of caution, to send the child to a Boston hospital via medical helicopter. Billerica Woman Charged with Attempted Murder

Billerica – On Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at approximately 1:50 pm, Billerica Police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing that just occurred at Devito Brothers Pizza, located at 446 Boston Road, Billerica, in the O’connor Plaza. Officers arrived to learn that one of the staff at the restaurant had just been stabbed in the back by a female assailant with, what was described as, an ice pick. The male victim reported the assailant was known to him and had fled after he barricaded himself in a bathroom to prevent additional injuries. Two Local Package Stores Robbed

Billerica – On Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at approximately 8:48 PM the Billerica Police received a report of an attempted armed robbery at 129 Liquors, located at #252 Salem Road, Billerica. The clerk reported that a white male, between approximately 5’4” to 5’7” inches, medium build, wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans, sunglasses, and a camouflage hat entered the store with a knife demanding money from the cash register. The suspect jumped the counter and spent about 90 seconds in the store before fleeing in an unknown direction.
