Billerica– On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at approximately 10:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to 10 Argonne Road for a reported disturbance involving two adult males. Upon arrival at the split ranch style residence, officers determined that there were multiple occupants inside the home. As one officer began his initial investigation by speaking to the reporting party in the downstairs portion of the residence, a second officer stood on the landing just inside the front door of the home. On July 18, 2015 Billerica Police received reports that an unauthorized persons had painted some crosswalks surrounding the Town Center. This area has been under construction recently in part for pedestrian crossing upgrades. At this point some of the crosswalks in the town center area have been painted green by unauthorized persons. DPW crews are working to remove the unauthorized markings and the roadway will be restored with new striping as had been previously planned. The Billerica Police Department is planning to conduct random, undercover alcohol-compliance checks at establishments around town in the next few weeks. The time and locations of the checks will not be announced in advance. These checks are used to emphasize the need to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors.
