Billerica – On Saturday, July 8, 2017 at approximately 11pm, the Billerica Police received a 911 call from 7 Millpond Drive in North Billerica reporting a resident had been shot out in front of the home during an attempted armed robbery. Officer arrived within minutes and observed an adult male resident with a single gunshot wound to lower leg. The victim explained that he had just arrived at home from work and was confronted in his driveway by an unknown masked male demanding his money. Three Indicted in Connection with 2012 Home Invasion in Billerica

For Immediate Release June 19, 2017 Contact: Press Office 781-897-8325 BILLERICA – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Billerica Police Chief Daniel Rosa have announced that on June 15, 2017 a Middlesex County Grand Jury indicted Sophan Keo, 29, of Beverly; Gabriel Arias, 24, of Lynn; and Steven Touch, 28, of Lynn, in connection with a 2012 Billerica home invasion. The defendants are each charged with murder in the first degree; home invasion; attempt to commit armed robbery; and two counts of conspiracy. Billerica Police Department Receives State Technology Grant

The Billerica Police Department has been awarded a $40,000 grant through the Community Compact Cabinet’s (CCC) Information Technology grant program. The competition for the $2 million of available funds was intense and included 90 applications from 125 municipalities applying for grants totaling close to $8 million. Kristen Lepore, Secretary of Administration and Finance, stated that Billerica’s application was chosen “because it clearly met the overarching goal of driving innovation and transformation at the local level via investments in technology”.
