Billerica – During the early morning hours of July 9, 2013, the Billerica Police received an alarm activation from The Villagio Ristorante, located at #56 Chelmsford Road, Billerica. Officers responded within minutes and determined that a burglary had occurred to the business. Located a short distance from the scene was Stephen Peterson, 22, of Lowell who was observed by police while attempting to drive off in a disabled U-Haul Box Truck which had two flat rear tires. Evidence obtained from the scene of the burglary resulted in Peterson’s arrest for Breaking and Entering in the Night with the intent to commit a felony as well as Malicious Destruction of Property. He was arraigned on July 9, 2013 in Lowell District Court.
