Man Arrested For Breaking Into Town Farm Ln Home
On May 27, 2014 at approximately 9:50 am, Officer Paul Brady was patrolling in the area of High St. As Officer Brady was driving by Town Farm Ln he heard an audible house alarm. At that time Brady observed a white sedan leaving the area and noted that the license plates of the vehicle were obscured by duct tape. The vehicle was subsequently stopped on High St. Contact was made with the driver, Dustin Menezes, 27, of 41 Sprague St. Billerica (Left). Additional Officers responded to the sound of the house alarm where they found evidence of a breaking and entering on Town Farm Ln. Evidence and circumstances at the home and the traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Mr. Menezes for the following charges:
- Breaking & entering for felony
- Possession of burglarious intruments
- Vandalize property
- Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license
- Obstructed registration plate
Update 6/9/14 – Mr. Menezes is facing additional charges related to an attempted break into the cash depository at the North Billerica Train Station. Shortly before the incident at Town Farm Ln a suspect was witnessed trying to open the cash depository with a power drill. The witness, an LRTA employee, challenged the man. The suspect then fled the area. After a short investigation it was determined that probable cause existed to charge Mr. Menezes with:
- Attempted breaking and entering into a depository with intent to commit a felony
