Two Local Package Stores Robbed
Billerica – On Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at approximately 8:48 PM the Billerica Police received a report of an attempted armed robbery at 129 Liquors, located at #252 Salem Road, Billerica. The clerk reported that a white male, between approximately 5’4” to 5’7” inches, medium build, wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans, sunglasses, and a camouflage hat entered the store with a knife demanding money from the cash register. The suspect jumped the counter and spent about 90 seconds in the store before fleeing in an unknown direction. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 9:09 PM, Billerica Police received a 911 call from Jim’s Quick Stop located at #502 Boston Road reporting an armed robbery that just occurred. Police responded and the clerk reported having just been robbed at knife point by a white man matching the same description as the previous armed robbery at 129 Liquors. The suspect also spent a short period of time in the store before fleeing in an unknown direction. No one in either robbery was physically injured during these incidents. Police are actively working on this matter and no additional information is currently available.
