Billerica – On Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at approximately 1:50 pm, Billerica Police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing that just occurred at Devito Brothers Pizza, located at 446 Boston Road, Billerica, in the O’connor Plaza. Officers arrived to learn that one of the staff at the restaurant had just been stabbed in the back by a female assailant with, what was described as, an ice pick. The male victim reported the assailant was known to him and had fled after he barricaded himself in a bathroom to prevent additional injuries. Officers immediately put out a BOLO for the arrest of Barbara Tucker, 57, of Billerica for charges related to the incident. With the assistance of Billerica K9 officers Tsoukalas and Maceachern, Officers were able to track Tucker to a general location along the Concord River in West Billerica. Officers subsequently located Tucker hiding in the thick vegetation along the wood line at the Concord River. Barbara Tucker was subsequently arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (ice pick). She will be arraigned today in Lowell District Court.
