On Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 11:35 p.m., Billerica Police received a hold-up alarm from Alltown Mobile, 1 Republic Road, and a report that a clerk was robbed at knifepoint.
Officers and detectives responded to the scene and an initial investigation determined that a female suspect grabbed a clerk’s wrist two times and lunged at the clerk with a knife before the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect then fled the store and entered a white vehicle that was parked across the street.
As officers responded to the robbery, they were notified that a white vehicle had crashed on Route 3 north nearby.
Massachusetts State Police responded to that crash, as did Billerica detectives, who identified the driver and passenger of the vehicle as FOUST and KOTSONAS. Police located cash strewn about the scene of the crash.
Both KOTSONAS and FOUST were taken into custody after an investigation indicated KOTSONAS was the individual who allegedly robbed the store. FOUST was charged under the joint venture principal as a result of her alleged involvement.
Both KOTSONAS and FOUST are expected to be arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
