Billerica Police Respond to Fatal Crash
BILLERICA — Chief Roy Frost and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan report that the Billerica Police Department responded to a crash that caused a fatality at Salem Road (Route 129) and Gray Street.
On Friday, Jan. 12 at approximately 12:10 p.m., Billerica Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to Salem Road and Gray Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision.
Officers arrived to discover two vehicles that appeared to have crashed into one another, with a driver and passenger in each vehicle. Two individuals were evaluated at the scene but not transported, while two individuals were taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital. One of those individuals, an adult male, was later pronounced dead.
Salem Road and Gray Street were closed in the area as the initial stages of an investigation were conducted.
The crash remains under investigation by Billerica Police, with assistance from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
