Billerica – On Saturday, September 6, 2014 at approximately 1:20 AM, the Billerica Police were contacted by a Buckland Security Officer regarding suspicious activity observed at #8 Federal Street, Billerica. On arrival, Officers learned that two suspects wearing dark clothing with gloves and masks were observed by Buckland Security in the area of a loading dock door for Parexel, a biopharmaceutical and medical device company. Due to the time of night and the fact that the business was closed, the security officer began to investigate when the two suspects suddenly fled on foot into the wood line. With this information, Officers quickly set up a perimeter and contacted Billerica K9 Officer Tsoukalas to assist with a search.
Within thirty minutes of the setting up a perimeter, Officer Paul Brady located a suspect hiding behind a parked motor vehicle on Hattie Lane, which is a short distance from Federal Street. Shortly thereafter, Officer Tsoukalas and his canine partner “Yak” located a second suspect hiding under the bushes in the area of #443 Middlesex Turnpike. Following a preliminary investigation into the incident it was confirmed that Parexel was forcibly entered and that the two detained suspects were involved. Arrested at the scene were Richard Beebe, 43 of Wakefield and Jeffrey Seward, 49 of Billerica. Both were charged with Breaking and Entry in the Nightime, Destruction of Property and Possession of Bulgarious Tools. Both will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday, September 8, 2014. Both suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
